20/9/08 - Down South Release And Future Plans...
As you may of heard, the manufacturing stage of 'Down South EP' has been finished, which is great to finaly say. The EP was recorded from May - August this year, and will be released exactly 1 year after Herculean's first ever recording session on Monday 27th October 2008. There will be a new page on the site (as mentioned in the NEWS section) which will include loads of information on the songs, including when they were written and backgrounds. We'll be sending the EP into record companies and radio stations as well as giving practically everyone we know a copy. The EP won't be sold in the shops but we're giving copies away for free anyway, so for anyone who would like a copy who doesn't know us personally, we will be able to send the EP via email (MP3). Also, soon we will add the lyrics to all the songs off Down South EP onto the site. Plans for the album, which would have been titled 'Revolver' have sadly dissolved. At the moment we're concentrating on making EP's to grab the attention of record companies, but this also means we will be releasing them on a regular basis now (hopefully 2 a year).
30/6/08 - More Recording, Finishing 'Down South EP'
We've got a busy week lined up, there's writing, recording and artwork to be working on. First of all, tomorrow, backing guitars will be recorded for new album track, 'Let's Talk (About Tomorrow)' which at the moment, holds the record for taking the longest time to record (well, Herculean song anyway). Also tomorrow, a new set of lyrics will be written to an as-yet-untitled song (which will be the last track on 'Down South EP'). On Wednesday we'll be recording the instrumentals for 3 new songs which will be on the EP and on Thursday the vocals will be recorded. Over the weekend we'll likely finish the artwork and hopefully it'll be ready for send off (to record companies and radio stations) round about July 14th.
4/6/08 - Album complete, Contract chase
The album is written, and we're half way through through the recording stage. We're also making a 3 track promo, which won't be officially released (don't worry though, all the songs will be on the album), the purpose is to send into record companies and radio stations. We're expecting to finish the promo within the next couple of weeks. Later today, the vocals will be recorded for our new internet only release, 'Wanted To See You', the song will be released next week. Our debut album, REVOLVER is out in October, more news soon.
